Creating ways to Sell Art Part #3...

I’ve just finished the Paper Works site. I don’t have a pricing strategy but think I can have the Universe work stuff out for me. Anyway this is a work in progress, so look for progress. I’ve also looked at selling via e-bay (Millions of stuff for sale), but I think that works best if you already have group of collectors who have determined that they like, want or need your work.

Creating ways to Sell Art part #2...

Setting up the new website pages is a little time consuming for me. I should have something up by Monday night. I’ve been looking around at what other people are doing, and “A Painting a Day” has many followers. Some wonderful work. Check links here for Luis Colan, Silver Fortress, Painting in Oil and State of the Art.

In addition to trying to move my works on paper, I am pushing for a second gallery, California or one of the Carolina’s, to handle my paintings. For some unknown reason, I’ve always been concerned with not having enough work to show. I’m also thinking about making prints of some of my older paintings. I am open to any ideas/thoughts.

Creating ways to Sell Art part #1...

I been looking over old drawings and monotypes that I’ve created over the years and have decided to put them up for sale. I love them, but I think it’s time for some one else to love them as well. I’m developing a site where they can be purchased. You will be able to find the link next week here and on Bobmartin-art.com

Ways to Improve...

In recent months I’ve discovered artist and painters that have given me a new way of thinking about my own work. One sure way to improve is to look at what other people are doing.

There has been a break in the weather...

“Weekend” by Bob Martin -06island weekend

Yesterday we topped out at 104 degrees, which goes to show that we can find comfort anywhere. I noticed that my paint seemed to not gum up which helps to reduce the general frustration.
