Deadlines...

There is a saying that says Busy People get things Done. Well I’ve been busy and I am challenging that statement. I’ve not gotten much done lately and I have deadlines to meet.

A bright spot this past week (I should say a brighter spot) was that our daughter came to town unexpectedly to visit my wife and I. We took time off from being busy and drove up to Jerome AZ, a mile high city.

Jerome is an old mining town just south west of Sedona. It’s built on a hill, has about 500 residents, half of them Artist. There is a section of the town that was crippled from a mining accident years ago. Lots of old photographs and old timers to talk to as well as people from all over the country who decided that they wanted to live there. There are shells of buildings that date back over a hundred years, views of the San Francisco Peaks. It’s a destination for both breeds of Motor Bikers.

Take Risk, Don’t be Predictable, Try not to ...

Champ

It’s easy to get tired of yourself, in what you do, see and say.

Take some chances, Marlon in Guys and Dolls, Denzel in Training Day, Miles with everything.

News, Shouldn’t it be New?...

Must Have

Can some explain why we are bombarded with information that neither educates or propels our vision. We are served up the same old same oh stuff. We pay for things that are free and feel good about it. We love people who apologize, we adore them when they go to jail and we hate them when they get out. We feel we have made a contribution when a nobody (meaning nobody we know) wins A.I., cause we phoned in our vote (also not free).

Currently there are about 90 people running for President of the United States and all are asked beauty contest questions, and you can see their eyes search for the answer that Paris Hilton would give, cause that would certainly be the right answer.

If we need to be entertained, go to a play, see a good movie, go to a museum or a little league game but don’t watch the news, cause it’s not new or free.
