The Cost of Bottled Water...
I wonder how many things are we willing to pay for that are free?
Giving something a price, does it automatically have value?
Are we both thirsty and Lazy?

One of the most difficult things for me to do, is to leave a painting simple. It is as if I need to prove that I’ve put a lot of work into a painting in order for it to have value. Of course the value is in the ease in which the painting is able to communicate its message.
The same goes for all forms of art, when I think about it. For instance Morey & Feldman’s “Someday My Prince Will Come” Music and Lyrics that translate easily into many interpretive music styles, because of its seeming simplicity.
I’ve had the privilege to live in two areas of the country that yearly have what might seen as extreme weather. What I find fascinating is that in Alaska when the temperature rose to 10 below 0, it felt like a heat wave. Now living in Central Arizona, we are enjoying a very cool 103 degrees.
In this painting I am not suggesting that long sleeves are the norm, but it’s not unusual. We are very adaptable. We have learned to appreciate different types of art and expression. In some areas of our lives we have become liberal in our thinking and receptive to many points of view.
I’ve been reading about the construct of the Universe, its vastness, its complexities and its unknowns. I once had a belief that creating art is difficult.
