Working as hard as ever and getting creative with the paint that I have remaining. Need to head into Tempe and get some stuff.
My painting will be up at the Breadfruit for another month which is good. I like them (the paintings) but I much prefer 
that someone else falls in love with them and wants to take them home 
I will also being a couple of charity events between now and the 15th of next month, I will post particulars later this week.
Will be on the back cover of my wife’s book of poems and photos. Should be available at the end of the month.
After some month full of tension, anxiety and the like, feel like I am goofing off and having fun. Still working on five larger paintings I will complete for the Oct show in New York and with some left over for a show in Phoenix. More on this in next weeks post
We spend most of our time looking at peoples faces. I wanted to place this subjects hands on his head but couldn’t fiqure out how to capture this using a mirror. I’ve asked my wife to take a photo of me with my hands on my head so that I can complete the painting. 
As much as I might try I am not able to get away from the human face. Given the fun I might as well enjoy.
It is a not good idea to think you have to be in control. When I started this painting it seemed I was determined that the girl on the left had to be choking herself. The more I tried to keep her hands up around her neck the more disturbing I found it so I gave up completely by letting the paint and the brush drive what I needed to do next.

In this type of painting it is necessary to keep making changes, adjusting shapes and color. The trick is to feature out when to stop.
I
have been working on my first book of paintings I’ve called “People I know” It been a fun project so far and I still need two or three more small paintings to fill out the pages. These two paintings are in progress and because I had a specific use for them, I’ve been working more deliberately then I normally would in resolving them. Sometimes it is a good idea to wait and see what the painting is calling for.
